November Festival month, Signs and Seasons

The Christmas lights are lit, the year comes to an end. A time passed, things have happened.

.... Let's see where is October 31. The last update announced in large letters, the IMPROFESTIN fanfare, the first international theater festival of collective improvisation by Mammoth in association with Metro Chamber chucreManzur culture.

And so it was. La Banda Shock, with great fanfare kicked off this popular theater festival, where the public the opportunity to witness tube exelentes shows in the theater and free in room Pablo Neruda Metro Quinta Normal.

addition to the respective proposals was bringing each company, engage in various forms of improvisation, as Mr.Impro, a show of international character improvisers had 15 different nationalities and languages. Gorilla Theatre, a show that we have been presenting over a year but this time we acampeonato international cast and a Cage Match, where four companies had 20 minutes per night for improvisation. In the end the audience bounces for the one you like. For all was a great experience this format, which was first performed in Latin America.

In other successful formats, which are used to playing at festivals, require usually improvisations from 3 to 5 minutes, where you have to be very fast, not making mistakes, just get shot and win the vote the audience, very effective with the public and very fun to play, but we fail to really get us in the Improv Theater, where the audience sits and sees an improvised work, an artistic, personal seal for improvisation. For all, was a breakthrough play Cage, where the rules did not exist and could do what you want in those 20 minutes, provided it is "an improvisation." Here we see clearly the spirit and the work that each company to put in this form of theater. We saw excellent and varied stories and surprising ways to count. Every night, the audience and the actors brought great surprises.

Whoever wins or loses, the truth is that it does not matter much, being in a healthy competition, one need only look to it that the night is a success, the public and improvisational theater is vallan happy, have fun. But as was the championship, had a table of positions, and this term thus:

4th Place, Jogando No Quintal

5th Place Argentina, LPI

Mexico would win by 4 votes, was a great night. Canada and England did not participate.

was gratifying as a group to achieve a festival like this, a pulse, a lot of work and learning. We are already working on next. For now, with most of these companies, we will meet again in March at the world's largest festival, the Iberoamerican Colombia.
